Wow it's been awhile! We have another check up next week for Munchkin, and I'm hoping she'll be up in weight again. She has a new love for 'stachioes (what she calles pistacioes) which I hope will help bulk her up some.
Went to the park today, forgot the camera but will try to load the phone camera pictures. She loves the swings, and loves to swing high up. So when she'd hit her height limit I'd say "So high!" and she'd giggle and say "Hello sky!" She had lots of other moms and dads smiling because we just kept it up.
Then a small group of children (about 5 I'd guess in age) adopted her to play Shark Boy and Lava girl (?????) They dubbed her the Lava Baby and would make sure she was ready to run along behind them anytime they changed venues in the game. She loved every second of it and was having a ball being included. They were a little miffed a short time later when she decided to play on the slides instead of following along with a game she didn't understand. Fun while it lasted.
It turned out much warmer than I thought it was going to be today!
Doesn't matter the temperature, Mom, you're still going to burn if you don't put SPF on your neck too.
Slides are HOT HOT HOT in the afternoon...that was NOT a good feeling on my belly!

It's really not fair.
I don't get why Munchkin will nap either with or for Jason, but not for me. I can't understand it. She had a short nap today, true, and then played at the playground. But she's sleeping soundly. Part of me wants to go wake her b/c it's going to make her bedtime a BEAR to deal with...the other part of me is tired of her today. It's not her fault. Tooth coming in AND the painters were here again so she couldn't go downstairs and play. I'm glad to not to have to deal with her right this second, to tell you the truth.
But the painting is relatively all done. The diningroom dried funny, where the texture of the paint was just off and you could see the paintstripes that had been there before. It's completely dry now, and I don't see them anymore. Jason can be the final say, but I hope it looks even better tomorrow and they don't have to come back Tuesday. I'm tired of having them in my house, frankly and I want the paint smell to dissipate quickly. But I LOVE how clean the house looks...so fresh and new.
You won't notice any difference really unless you're looking for it in the hallway. It is 2 shades darker with a tad of gray/brown mixed in...but it is so light that only if you look at how it makes the white trim really pop...that's the only way you notice it. I really like how subtle it turned out. And the color in the diningroom is AWESOME. It looks so much bigger in there without all that business hitting you in the face! I hope they still have some of the sheer curtains I want in stock because they will be perfect in that room.
Had YTT this morning, and I have it again tomorrow. Weekends are rough right now, I tell you. I feel much better than last weekend, I'm not as sore. I'll take a picture of my yoga bruises later. Jason is getting concerned...if anyone asks questions I'll get a note from my teacher promising no one is beating me up! But I'm getting better at the poses and Master Adam seems to be happy with my progress. Which is good because just these first couple of weeks it is survival of the soreness. It's just going away now to where I can get back into my regular workouts at the Y without worrying I won't be ok for YTT class.
....ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...sure am glad those guys are gone....zzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Sure am glad those guys are gone! The house looks so pretty and so much larger without the gates up. I'm wondering if there's a way to rig a gate downstairs so we don't have to?

Painting is ongoing
I thought the manager was nuts when he said one day for the job. They are busting like hell to just get the hallway finished today (though to be fair it IS a huge hallway!). They fixed damage and taped all the areas first so that took a heap of time. I'm glad I had the idea to have them take out the Brinks's panels since we dont' use them and plan to get ADT in the future. Nice to have them gone and all the associated sensors! I am loving the color in the hallway. Not a huge change, just subtly warmer.

Rain and online shopping
After a semi-exposure (which thankfully no one noticed I don't think) in training the other day, it has come to my attention that all yoga tops are not created equal, and that it is much easier to do yoga without boobs. So a new sports bra and several yoga tops are on my way from Title Nine and Athleta. I can't wait til they get here (I also ordered a casual dress I've had my eye on for awhile). I hope they all fit, I hate returning things.
Yoga training is going well. I can already do poses that intimidated me a week ago. And I mean like holding them for 5 seconds. Forget coming out when I feel like it. My triceps are sore from using them to balance so hopefully that will pass quickly...everyone in class was telling me it takes awhile for the 'yoga bruises' to go away. I'm not actually bruised but it sure feels like it. I am still using my MyCAA grant to pay for the classes, it hasn't been made official because the manager is out of town. I am waiting until I get her word to take any classes other than training...but man I really want to! This gym has a more extensive class program than any I've seen! I wish it were closer I'd consider making it our primary gym.
I do love the weekend classes. They are tough being so early, but there are skylights in our studio. It is dark when we begin and it is so nice to warm up and then complete class with the sun fully up. It's impossible to describe but it's an amazing way to begin each day.
Munchkin's having a fussy day...she's lucky she's cute.
